I know I just posted, but I have a question that maybe SOMEONE out there can answer. I HAVE tried in the help forum and was ignored… *sigh* (Maybe no one KNOWS the answer?)
My problem (or: The LIE perpetrated by WordPress and Gravatar): I’d LIKE to add ‘verified accounts’. Easy enough. Click update profile and the option exists.
Okay, enter password in box provided.
PASSWORD INVALID, USER NAME AND/OR PASSWORD INCORRECT.
WHAT? Really? Funny, I’m sitting in my WordPress account ACTIVATING this request, so, huh? Okay, as this has been the issue ever since I first used Gravatar, I don’t even BOTHER to try again, I just order up a new password, click the link provided by the e-mail, and enter THE SAME PASSWORD.
It says, “Okey-dokey,” and let’s me back in. However, I click ‘Connect the accounts’ and now the WORDPRESS password is invalid???
Okay. Take a deep breath. Don’t waste time, just ask for new password; click on that link, reset WordPress password, TO THE SAME ONE. (Now BOTH should have the same password; e-mail and user name; or at least you’d think!)
Tried to activate those verified accounts again… Yep, you guessed it: PASSWORD INVALID, USER NAME AND/OR PASSWORD INCORRECT, please hang up and try your call again later… AAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
NO, dammit! WHY won’t my Gravatar and WordPress Account play NICELY?!?
All I want is a little respect. I entered the info they requested; why do they have to hold me hostage???
So, I’m verifying myself… It is me. I exist even if Gravatar is unwilling to admit it to the rest of the world… Sorry.
Anyone have any fresh suggestions?
